My father is a mineralogist. I grew up in his world, surrounded by specimens, stories, and the particular silence of someone who truly loves what he studied.When I was young, he would travel to explore mines and discover new minerals. Sometimes I was lucky enough to join him. And whenever he returned from a region he had visited alone, he would bring me a small piece of earth from that place. Rough stones with visible crystals. Fragments with colour and texture I had never seen before.
Every Sunday, we would sit together in the garden and he would tell me where a stone came from, how nature had slowly, patiently created it over thousands of years.For me, natural stone has never been just a material. The Making of Uniiqo Studio
Over years of working within the stone industry, Assa built relationships with rare quarries and discovered exceptionally talented stonemasons, artisans who had dedicated decades of their lives to working with natural stone. At the same time, a second passion had always been present: a deep love for interiors, for thoughtful spaces, for objects that carry presence and meaning. She grew up reading Architectural Digest, visiting galleries and museums, drawn to the places where creativity, craftsmanship, and storytelling came together.
Uniiqo Studio was born from the meeting of these two worlds, rare natural stone and the art of living beautifully.
Curating exceptional stones
Every piece begins with a journey. We travel to quarries that most people will never see, personally selecting stones with the most extraordinary colours, structures, and veining. Each block is chosen for its character, bold, expressive, and impossible to find again.
We are drawn to stones that feel alive. The veins, the mineral formations, the natural irregularities, these are not imperfections. They are what give each piece its individuality and soul.
From raw stone to form
The selected stone blocks are brought to our production, where they are carefully prepared and shaped. Every step is guided with precision to respect the natural character of the material and preserve its raw beauty.
Decades of craftmanship
Our pieces are entrusted to skilled artisans who have worked with natural stone for decades. Through a combination of traditional techniques and modern tools, they shape each object entirely by hand. No two pieces leave the studio looking the same.
